| Command Name: |
set |
| For Level: |
DeCKHaND |
| Command Usage: |
.set
.set [item]
.set [item] [value] |
| What It Does: |
When used by itself, it asks if you would like to use the setup menu. If
you choose "yes", you are given a menu of all the items that you
can set. If you choose "no", it displays a list of the same items, so that
you can set them directly. To do this, all you have to do is type
".set [item] [value]" For example, ".set www http://www.yourpage.com/"
would set your web address as "http://www.yourpage.com/". If it is an item
where there are multiple choices (like ".set who", etc.), you can type
".set [item]" for the list of choices. If you're just starting out, it will
will probably be easier to use the menu. However, should you wish to do it
directly, the complete list of items that you can set (at this time) is:
age (your age), ansi (ANSI screens), bday (your birthday), charecho (toggles
character echo), colour (turn colors on/off), email (your e-mail address),
gender (your gender), hdemail (hide e-mail toggle), help (choose your help
style), icq (your ICQ #, if you have it), levdesc (what you want your level
alias to be), loginmsg (what you want it to say when you login), logoutmsg
(your logout message), mode (toggles between NUTS and EW-Too), predesc
(your pre-description) prompt (prompt toggle), recap (how you want your name
recapitalized), rows (# of rows per file), who (your ".who" type), wrap
(word-wrap toggle), and www (your webpage address, if you have one). |
