1) ENGLISH is the primary language on this talker. If you feel the need to talk in tongues please take that to a private room.

2) HARASSMENT of ANY kind towards another user can result in your removal from the session, .nuke of your account, and/or banning of your site for as long as we feel like it.

3) Please try to keep .shouts and .semotes to a minimum when there are other users online. It is annoying when shouting gets out of hand. Don't annoy the wizzes.

4) DISCRIMINATION of ANY kind will not be permitted. Whether it is sexual, racial, or verbal abuse, you will be removed from the session and/or possibly banned from the talker for as long as we feel like it.

5) Multiple Accounts are not allowed unless Okayed by the owners of the talker. No more than ONE account per user. If you are found to be in possession of more than one account without having permission, anywhere from one to all of the accounts will be .nuked. If you still feel the need to create more accounts, this action falls under rules #2.

6) The .roompic command displays a picture to the entire room. This command is given to higher leveled users for a reason. If you have this command at all it's because you are trusted. Do not annoy or irritate other users with it. If you need to know why please refer to rule #2. The command is frowned upon in the Square, or in other rooms with large groups of people in it (without their consent). There are over 50 rooms on this talker... please don't be rude and play with the command in the one room with ten other people in it.

7) Refrain from advertising talkers on boards, in descriptions, profiles, .shouts, .semotes, .bcasts etc. The Emerald Isle has its own talker list by using the .talker command. If you would like to advertise a talker, please do so by .smailing tHuNdEr or dAk or by emailing the name and address of the talker to emerald@emisle.com. Or use the Emerald Isle "Billboard"... Just simply type out '.talker add' to add a talker to the list and fill in the blanks. Only talker Owners are allowed to post and request this. Emerald Isle Owners have the right to pick and choose which talkers are on the Emerald Isle "Billboard". If your request is denied or your posting is deleted it is our business why. DO NOT whine, complain, or spam our .smail/ .email boxes if this happens to you. If you need to know why you should not do those things, please refer back to rule #2.

8) No illegal stuff. Period.

9) Idling. Idling for more than 10,000 minutes will earn you a .move to the Kodiak Inn (our room for idlers) by a staff member.

10) Have fun! We don't make rules to make your net.life harder...we do it to make it a more enjoyable atmosphere for everyone, so please have common courtesy.
